9th edition of WSRO National Championship 2026 held in Goa

Goa hosted the WSRO National Championship 2026, the 9th edition of the national-level robotics and STEM championship, at Peddem Indoor Stadium, Mapusa, Goa. The Championship was held on September 26 and 27. The two-day championship brought together 1,200+ participants, 400+ teams and 250+ robots, while attracting 2,000+ visitors from all across India.

The event brought together young innovators, students, educators and robotics enthusiasts from different parts of India on a vibrant platform to showcase and celebrate robotics, STEM education, creativity, technology and innovation. It provided participants with opportunities to demonstrate their technical skills, exchange ideas, collaborate with peers and explore innovative approaches to real-world challenges.

Through hands-on competitions, project showcases and interactive activities, the event encouraged young learners to experiment, build, solve problems and transform their ideas into practical solutions. It also fostered an environment of learning, teamwork and creativity, inspiring participants to develop a deeper interest in robotics, STEM and emerging technologies.

WSRO National Championship 2026: A National Platform for Young Innovators

The championship featured 16 competitions, providing students with opportunities to demonstrate their robotics skills, technical knowledge, creativity, teamwork and problem-solving abilities.

Participants competed in a variety of robotics and STEM challenges while also taking part in student exhibitions, project showcases and cultural activities. The combination of competitions and showcases created an engaging environment where young learners could put their knowledge into practice and share their innovative ideas.

The WSRO National Championship 2026 was hosted in Goa by Qurious Mind, a Vasco Da Gama-based edtech startup that served as the hosting partner. Led by its CEO, Yogesh Kerkar, Qurious Mind has been actively involved in promoting robotics, STEM education and technology learning among young students.

Two Days of Robotics Competitions and Innovation

The first day, September 26, began with the opening ceremony, followed by qualifying rounds and various robotics and STEM competitions. Student showcases gave young innovators an opportunity to present their projects and demonstrate their creativity, while a cultural evening added another dimension to the day’s programme.

The second day, September 27, featured further competitions and final rounds. Participants continued to compete across different robotics and STEM challenges, while exhibitions showcased student projects and innovations.

The championship concluded with the prize distribution ceremony and closing ceremony, marking the culmination of two days filled with competition, learning, creativity, collaboration and celebration. The closing ceremony recognised the efforts and achievements of participating teams while providing a fitting conclusion to an event that brought together young innovators from across India. It celebrated not only the competition results but also the enthusiasm, perseverance, teamwork and innovative spirit demonstrated by participants throughout the championship.
