ONGC Team visits STEM Lab Set up by Qurious Mind at GHSS Sakhali

Innovation and curiosity were in full swing as officials from ONGC visited the STEM Lab at Government Higher Secondary School Sakhali, a vibrant space created to spark young minds through hands-on learning.

The visit was graced by Mr. Manish Pareek and Mrs. Leena Jetly (Independent Directors, ONGC) and Mr. Shrikant Ughade (ONGC CSR Coordinator). The team was welcomed by students and trainers from Qurious Mind Infotainment Pvt. Ltd., the organization behind setting up the STEM Lab under ONGC’s Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative.

The purpose of the visit was to observe and assess the impact of STEM education at the school — and what unfolded was truly inspiring. The students enthusiastically demonstrated various science experiments and robotics projects, confidently explaining the concepts behind their work. Their creativity, curiosity, and technical understanding left the visitors thoroughly impressed.

  • Ayush Raul – Class 6, Navy Children School, Vasco

  • Aaron Rodrigues – Class 8, Sanjay School, Vasco
  • Bhargav Khobrekar – Class 8, St. Andrew’s Institute, Vasco
  • Shreyash Raikar – Class 8, St. Andrew’s Institute, Vasco
  • Gyan Luc Albuquerque – Class 12, St. Mary’s School, Pune

The young innovators were guided and supported by their dedicated trainers:

  • Kalpak Nayak
  • Parshuram Toraskar
  • Prabita Sawant Desai
  • Kiran Doddamani, and
  • Yogesh Kerkar, (Managing Director of Qurious Mind Infotainment Pvt. Ltd.)

Students from Sakhali Higher Secondary School presented their experiments and shared their experience on how the STEM Lab has helped them learn science in a fun and practical way.

The interaction between ONGC officials, trainers and students created an encouraging platform for innovation and experiential learning. The visitors commended the initiative, noting how such programs nurture curiosity and inspire the next generation of problem-solvers and tech enthusiasts.

Mr. Shrikrishna Naik, Principal of Government Higher Secondary School, Sankhali, extended his full support towards the Visit. He also shared his valuable insights and positive feedback with the delegates.
