PM Shri Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya (JNV), Valpoi successfully conducted the Students Science Exhibition Training Program in collaboration with Qurious Mind Infotainment Pvt. Ltd., Vasco-Goa. This initiative marked the first structured robotics training program organized for the participating students. The program commenced on 19 November 2025 and concluded with a Science Exhibition held on 14 February 2026. A total of twelve structured sessions were conducted, including two online foundation sessions followed by offline hands-on training sessions at the school campus. All sessions were conducted as per the planned schedule, ensuring systematic progression from conceptual understanding to practical implementation.
The program was designed to provide students with structured exposure to robotics fundamentals, the Arduino Uno microcontroller platform and real-time automation systems. Students were trained in sensor–actuator interfacing, circuit design, hardware integration and basic programming using the Arduino IDE. Emphasis was placed on understanding system workflow (Input → Processing → Output), signal handling, calibration techniques, threshold setting and safe wiring practices. A comprehensive set of components—including microcontrollers, sensors, actuators, display modules, communication modules and prototyping materials—was provided to facilitate hands-on implementation and independent experimentation.
Throughout the training period, students developed practical competence by designing circuit diagrams, assembling hardware on breadboards, configuring pin connections, writing structured code and debugging system-level errors. Each participant was assigned an individual project based on real-world applications, ensuring applied learning and functional prototype development. The training methodology emphasized iterative testing, optimization and integration of hardware and software into stable working models.
The Science Exhibition held on 14 February 2026 marked the successful culmination of the program. A total of fifteen working exhibits were presented by the participating students. The exhibition was attended by the teaching faculty, parents of the students and fellow learners from the institution. Participants confidently demonstrated their projects, explained their system architecture, programming logic and live automation workflows. The event provided a valuable experiential learning platform, allowing students to translate theoretical concepts into tangible technological solutions while strengthening their communication and presentation skills.
The projects showcased during the exhibition included systems such as Smart Trash Bin, Automatic Plant Watering System, Temperature and Humidity Monitoring System, Rain Alarm System, Air Quality Monitoring System, Obstacle Avoiding Robot, Home Security Alarm System, Real-Time Clock with Alarm, Heartbeat Monitoring System, Temperature-Controlled Fan System, Smart Street Light, Fire Alarm System, Earthquake Detection System, Automatic Door System and Distance Monitoring System. Each exhibit demonstrated practical implementation of embedded system principles using sensors, actuators, control modules and real-time programming techniques.
By the conclusion of the program, students developed practical robotics and electronics skills, programming proficiency using Arduino IDE, system integration understanding, troubleshooting capability and enhanced analytical thinking. The structured training-to-exhibition model ensured measurable technical growth and fostered innovation among the participants.
The program was coordinated by Mr. Joel Heralod, Science Teacher at PM Shri Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya, Valpoi. The training was conducted by Shri Bhikaji Gawade, representing Qurious Mind Infotainment Pvt. Ltd., Vasco-Goa, with assistance from Shri Jaganath Palyekar and Shri Brendan Sawant. A big thank you to the Principal of JNV Valpoi, Shri V. Ramakrishnaiah, for giving us the opportunity to conduct this Training Program and support meaningful learning.
