On 29th October 2025, Qurious Mind, Vasco, hosted an engaging FIRST Tech Challenge (FTC) Orientation for students and parents, introducing them to the dynamic world of robotics competitions and global innovation opportunities through FTC.
The orientation was graced by Mr. Anay Kamat and Mrs. Maya Kamat, special guests and mentors for the FTC program. Mr. Kamat delivered an insightful presentation explaining the FTC competition structure, rules and this year’s challenge theme. To give participants a hands-on experience, he also brought along an FTC robot and demonstrated how these robots are designed, programmed and operated during competitions.
Adding to the excitement, five students from Mr. Kamat’s FTC team joined the event to share their firsthand experiences from past competitions. They showcased their robot in action, offering valuable insights into teamwork, problem-solving and innovation.
The session concluded with Mr. Yogesh Kerkar, Managing Director of Qurious Mind, presenting an inspiring video about Pranav Gandhi, a talented Class 10 student who has achieved remarkable success in national and international robotics competitions and even delivered a TEDx talk. The video served as a motivational highlight, encouraging students to pursue their passion for robotics and explore career paths in science, technology, engineering and innovation.
This year, the FTC Team at Qurious Mind, Vasco, will be mentored by Mr. Parshuram Toraskar and Mrs. Prabita Sawant Desai, who will guide students through their exciting journey of design, coding and competition readiness.
The FTC Orientation at Qurious Mind successfully ignited curiosity, creativity and enthusiasm among participants—marking the beginning of an inspiring new chapter for aspiring young innovators.
